art projects
Inspired by the Constructivist and Bauhaus movements of the 20th century, and wary of the ubiquity of digital media in the 21st, I try to spend as much time as possible offline making art. Given my background in graphic design, my work has a strong focus on typography and abstract geometry. Recent projects include hand-drawn posters, cover art for the FU Review literary journal, 100 hand-crafted postcards, and a video series devoted to the undeniable beauty of milk being poured into iced coffee.

Before moving to Berlin in 2015, I worked for five years in NYC as a designer and art director in the magazine industry at Men's Health, Glamour and Fast Company. As the industry pivoted towards digital platforms, much of my focus was on converting traditional print design into groundbreaking new digital treatments for web, tablet and mobile. Since 2015 I've been working as a freelance designer for all sorts of projects, including print, digital and motion graphics.
